Supervision of the construction of the first 2 km of the Skopje-Blace highway
The Civil Engineering Institute Macedonia was selected by the Public Enterprise for State Roads to oversee the construction of the first 2km of the Skopje-Blace highway.
Construction work on the site would begin by the end of 2019. The deadline for construction is 18 months. The press conference on this topic was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs Bujar Osmani and the Director of the Public Enterprise for State Roads Zoran Kitanov.
The future highway will be built to European standards, with two lanes for driving and one lane for one stop. The width of the driving lanes is 3.5 meters, ie the full width in one direction is 10.25 meters.
The Skopje-Blace highway will be 12.5km long, with four tunnels and eight bridges along the entire route from the Blace border crossing to the Stenkovec junction at the Skopje bypass.
The two phases of the construction of the entire alignment will cost about 110m euros. The highway will be operational in 2023.
